LOCAL TIPS FOR JULY 4TH
Take LYNX Blue Line to Uptown
Parking near Truist Field and Romare Bearden Park will be brutal. CATS light rail runs late on holidays — park at a suburban station and ride in.
Romare Bearden is the smart move
Same fireworks as Truist Field, free concert simulcast, drone show, food trucks. Zero cost and zero missing out — it's the best free seat in the city.
Arrive by 5 PM if you want a spot
Romare Bearden Park fills up fast after 6 PM. Get there early, stake your spot, and enjoy the pre-show atmosphere.
Lake Norman = no crowds
If Uptown feels like too much, the lake fireworks offer a completely different experience. Bring a chair, grab dinner at a lakefront restaurant, and watch the show from the shore.
